About our clinic:

Thank you for visiting us!

BlueBall Veterinary Clinic is a locally owned practice in Middletown, Ohio. We have been serving Middletown and the surrounding area since 1986. Our goal is to provide the best professional service possible to our patients and clients. We believe in professional, yet compassionate “bed-side manners”. Many of our clients call us their friend as well as their pet’s doctor!

Meet our team:

Dr. Yayoi Cook Veterinarian
Dr. Cook graduated from the Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2008 and enjoys practicing veterinary medicine. She joined BlueBall Veterinary Clinic in 2009. She also enjoys being able to see pets thrive in their families.

When she is not working, her husband, two boys, dog and cat keep her busy! She is excited that she is starting to have more time to explore new food, travel to places and seek new experiences as the boys get older.
Dr. Chris Veterinarian
Dr Chris graduated from the Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2008 and was working as a mixed animal veterinarian before joining BlueBall Veterinary Clinic in 2019. She has a variety of interests in veterinary medicine as well as in many aspects of life.

In addition to being a caring veterinarian, she is a fun and cool mom of five. When she is not working, she is busy spending time with her kids. Practicing veterinarian and mom are not all she does. She also serves in the military reserve. Nobody knows how she does what she does!
Leslie Veterinary Assistant
If you notice a calming voice answering the phone when you call, it’s Leslie. She is a very sweet caring lady with the funniest sense of humor. She has kept us laughing since she started in April 2020.

In addition to her loving family, Gunner (shih tzu who loves to be independent) and Dally (lab who is happy-go-lucky) keep Leslie company when she is home. She is an avid reader. She also loves to color.

MaKayla Veterinary assistant
MaKayla may be new to us, but she is not new to this field. Her career in the veterinary field started when she worked at an animal hospital as a high school student. She then worked at a dog training facility for several years before coming to work for us. She is full of knowledge and experience.

MaKayla is not limited to dogs and cats. In addition to four dogs, she has six horses. When she is not working, she enjoys riding her horses. Her hobby is versatile and she likes to crochet as well as read.
Sierra Veterinary assistant
Sierra started to work for us in Sept 2021. She is brand new to the field. But she is learning a lot every day. She always has a positive attitude, and her smile cheers everyone up. She is interested in becoming a veterinary technician!

Sierra has a crafty side. She can knit and crochet very well. You may see her wearing her handmade hats. She also enjoys watching videos and movies, particularly superhero and Marvel movies. She is an equal opportunity pet owner, and she has two dogs (Stormy and Lily) and two cats (Lilo and Stitch).
Ashley Veterinary assistant
We have known Ashley as a client for many years. When she told us that she was going to school to be a veterinary technician, we just had to recruit her! It has been truly a joy to have her. She is a morning person and she brings in sunshine to the clinic every morning.

Ashley has a big heart for animals. She has a dog (Cookie) and three cats (Toonce, Kyo and Camulus). She loves her daughter Alyssa and enjoys spending time with her when she is not working her multiple jobs.

Brooke Veterinary assistant
Brooke has decided to join this field after having a job in retail and an ice cream shop. No matter what happens, she keeps her positive attitude and makes everyone smile! Brooke is going to school to be a vet tech, and we cannot wait for her to be one!

When she is not working, she spends time with her three kitties. She enjoys baking. (Her zucchini muffins are to die for!) She also enjoys online shopping.

Garfunkel Gray cat
Garfunkel was brought in by a caring client. One day, he showed up at her house. Unfortunately, her medical condition did not allow her to keep him. So we ended up fostering him, fully aware that it was going to be a forever foster. Simon, the real boss of the clinic, decided that Garfunkel was good enough to stay in his kingdom, so Garfunkel found his forever home here in Sept 2021. He is curious about everything, including patients, and loves to peek into exam rooms.
